abocado ("we," "our," or "us") operates the abocado mobile application (the "App").

A. Information You Provide Directly

When using the App, you may provide:

• Optional Name — if you enter your name during onboarding, it may be used locally and for analytics personalization purposes.

abocado does not require account creation to use the App.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may collect limited technical and usage data, including:

• App Interaction Events — interactions within abocado (e.g., features used, goals created, timers completed).
• Usage Metrics — high-level feature usage within the App.
• Device Information — device type, operating system version, and app version.
• Device Identifier (IDFV) — the Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) may be collected for analytics purposes.
• Diagnostics — crash reports and performance data provided by Apple.

We do not collect activity, content, or usage data from other apps on your device.

C. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate certain services.

RevenueCat (Subscriptions)

RevenueCat manages in-app purchases and subscription status. Payment processing is handled by Apple. We receive subscription entitlement information but do not receive full payment details.

PostHog (Analytics)

We use PostHog to understand how users interact with features inside abocado.

PostHog collects:

• Device identifiers (IDFV)
• Pseudonymized usage events
• Technical metadata related only to interactions within abocado (such as goals created or timers completed)

PostHog does not have access to, nor does it collect, data regarding your usage of other apps on your device.

We do not use analytics to track users across other apps or websites.

3. Screen Time & Family Controls

abocado uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to enable user-defined app access restrictions.

Authorization is required and controlled by the user through iOS Settings.

We do not access, collect, or store detailed Screen Time usage data from other apps.

Screen Time permissions are used solely to enforce user-defined app access restrictions configured within abocado.

Information obtained through the Family Controls framework is processed entirely on-device.

This data remains locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third-party services.

Revoking permission disables restriction features but does not affect other App functionality.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain core functionality
• Manage subscriptions
• Improve features and performance
• Analyze usage patterns
• Send local notifications (with permission)
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

5. Data Storage

Local Storage

Most user data is stored locally on your device, including:

• Goals and completion history
• App restriction rules
• Timer state and preferences

This data remains locally on your device.

Third-Party Data

Analytics and subscription-related information are processed by PostHog and RevenueCat in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You may:

• Manage and modify your data within the App
• Delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App
• Revoke permissions through iOS Settings
• Contact us to request deletion of analytics data where applicable

Because abocado does not require account creation, no user account is stored on our servers.

8. Data Retention

• Local data — stored on your device until deleted by you.
• Analytics data — retained by PostHog according to their retention policies.
• Subscription data — retained as required for billing and compliance.

9. Children's Privacy

abocado is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. International Data Transfers

Information processed by third-party services may be handled in jurisdictions outside your place of residence. Appropriate safeguards are applied where required.

California residents may request access to or deletion of personal information. abocado does not sell personal information.

12. Data Minimization & No Cross-App Tracking

We collect only information necessary to operate and improve the App.

We do not collect:

• Activity from other apps

abocado does not engage in cross-app tracking.
